Changing Jobs, Changing Roles..

Times are a changing..

The Master and Madam of the House have now changed roles in the house. Madam B is now gainfully employed and preoccupied with refining the finesses of the new job. I, on the otherhand, am gainfully over-employed by keeping our little master happy and active.

Of late our son has been showing glimpses of being a true toddler and starting to crawl a little and babble out words for us to decipher for meaning. The highlights of any day are: eating, sleeping, walking with the cart and when Mummy comes home.

We are happy with life yet tired in the evening and curse ourselves every night with "why don't we got to bed earlier". Well well.. we live and learn.

I hope you enjoy some of the new photos.. obviously they are of our son :-)

Merry Christmas from the North

Dear Readers,

We in the House of Broadley wish all of our friends and family a very Merry Christmas. Some wintery pictures from the Gulf of Bothnia where we are skating on the ice of the sea.

As you can see, we didnt feel brave enough to drive the car on the ice and therefore had to trade it in. In return for our great (pre-loved) Volvo 740 with receieved a sled for the same value. I'm not saying anything but I think we really won out of that one..

Anyway, we hope that Christmas is a happy and festive time to you all.We obviously are thinking of the true Christmas weather of sand, sun, and beaches... love to all near and far..

(Yes we only had one camera, therefore neither both parents can be in the same photo)

The Christmas Countdown..

A few snapshots from the Autumn that has now left us in the House of Broadley. Master Broadley Junior has been growing and becoming more a person and less of a baby for each day that passes.

A few of his new tricks include: saying "Da da", attacking any object of interest within his radius with the iron grip, eating paper, waking up about 3am and exercising vocal cords, and sitting up to play.

We look forward to the Christmas season, a time to relax and catch our breath before we start another year. Here are a few of the highlights from the last couple of months.

My father is an immigrant!! (above)

Mmmm Prune flavoured baby food

Ralph Lauren Autumn Collection 2008

This photo came with a picture frame.

Baby Baby... growing up slowly

The pictures say it all. There are some babies that just always need just a little extra care and loving. A few pictures of an average day in his life.. sleep, wake, eat, enjoy life, and sleep.

Autumn Rains..

Hello Hello..

Autumn is here for real and the darkness reminds us of the coming Christmas. Before that we have been busy building our 'cave' for the hibernation of winter. I have been adding a few kilos to help survive the winter and Madam Broadley has been making a house a home.

Master Broadley has been ignoring the darkness and decided that 5am is still the best time to wake up. Therefore, it has also become our time to 'rise and shine' despite there being little shining in our rising!

Have a look at the photos.. Master Broadley has touched his first snow and the parents have bought a new bed.. the excitement never ends for us suburbians.. 'In the weekday, everday, we are happiest'

Over and out..

The tides of life

The tides of life continue and here we find ourselves again in the Autumn of another year. The leaves indicating the last dance of of the season before Mother Nature hibernates for a couple of frozen months. We enjoy the colour and change mindful of the time ahead. Time to rent a few DVDs and light some candles and put on some extra fat for the winter survival.

Happily our lives are still filled with the warmth of out No.1 idol, baby Broadley. He shines light into our hearts through his changes and more regular smiles. Smiles that make up for late nights, baby spew and nappy changing.

The simple things in life are sometimes the most enjoyable, thus the photos for you to enjoy. A simple sunday afternoon walk enjoying God's display for us in perfect unity.

Sunday = Washing

Well Sunday .. again..

Another great action packed weekend... Here is a quick summary for those of us with attention deficits..

Friday - Jonathan was possessed with screaming all day. Lisa looked liked death warmed up when I got home. Jonno and I went for a 2 hour walk and Lisa had a rest to calm the hand shaking:-) I went out with work for "team-building" dinner.

Saturday - Lunch with Malin, Fredde, Maria, Andreas , Johan & Nina.. great to catch up with the gang from the London days.. Later met Jan and Jonas at Pitches.. Jonno screamed.. Went to Jonas and Jenny..admired the curtains, watched Lule Hockey loose against HV71.. Came home and died of tiredness..

Sunday - Up at 5;45am with the little man.. Went to church.. late as usual despite being up so early (No matter how much we try, we are always late) Came home and did washing and cleaning ALL afternoon.

Hence the photo.. We have now been washing non-stop for 6 hours with two machines! Dare I say, it is not MY stuff.. hint hint.. I blame a child who changes his clothes 50 times a day.. too tired to type more... over and out..
